ABOUT

"We are making photographs to understand what our lives mean to us.”
— Ralph Hattersley

Jaymal is a landscape and fine art photographer based between Geneva and London. The inspiration behind his photography comes from his travels around the natural world where he seeks to use photography as a form of meditation. His creation of images from these moments of inward reflection and inspiration goes beyond the surface, to discover the levels of meaning that lie beneath that which we see with our naked eye and to present the viewer with that same feeling of inner calm he himself seeks when in the field.

Photography is a tool for both inward and outward reflection and expression. Jaymal seeks to use his camera as a tool by which to be fully present in the moment. His photos aim to contemplate a particular mood or emotion and and he makes extensive use of long exposure as a technique to capture the ever changing natural beauty and drama of the world around him.

He has held two solo exhibitions in Central London and sold limited edition prints in over 15 countries. The proceeds of these sales have been donated in full to philanthropic causes in which he believes.
